The HGTV star Jasmine Roth is hoping that a buyer sees the hidden potential of purchasing her home.

In her hit HGTV series, “Hidden Potential,” Roth reimagines ho-hum suburban homes with custom touches that are a reflection of her clients’ tastes.

And—fun fact—she started her business with her own Huntington Beach, CA, house, which is now on the market for $2,199,000.

“In case you missed it, yesterday we listed our Southern California house for sale,” Roth recently posted on Instagram.

“The first house I ever built with @builtcustomhomes, we definitely have all the feels about putting the #11thstreetretreat on the market. But it also just feels like the timing is right and well … what can we say, 2020 is the year of doing things we never thought we’d do!”

In April, the founder of Built Custom Homes recently welcomed her first child with her husband, Brett Roth.

Now, the family is moving on from their one-of-a-kind home. They held on to it even though they had outgrown it, even offering it up as an Airbnb, but they’ve decided it’s time for a new owner to take over.

Which should be easy to do with a place that’s completely turnkey.

With almost 3,000 square feet of living space, the open layout features three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The yellow Dutch door sets the tone inside, with a bright and cheery kitchen containing Viking appliances, a center island, marble counters, and a marble bar with seating for casual gathering and eating.

The adjacent dining area and living room lead out to the patio, which features space for lounging, dining, and a barbecue.

Upstairs, find the bedrooms, including the master, which features an en suite marble-clad bath with an oversized shower, a Kohler tub, and a flat-screen TV. Along with two more guest bedrooms and a guest bathroom, the upper level contains a laundry room and built-in office.

One floor up, a hang-out space with vaulted ceiling and wet bar opens out to a roof deck.

Photos from the listing of the beach house are filled with coastal charm and the designer’s custom touches, such as a “pet cave” carved out under the stairwell for some lucky dogs, not to mention the dog run outside.

Other perks include smart home features, seven TVs, speakers in every room, and lighting, all controlled from your mobile device.

Roth bought the lot in 2010 for $810,000. She then started on her custom-built home in 2012 and completed it in 2013, according to the agent, Kevin Via of Compass, who is co-listing the property with another Compass agent, Roz Essner. Roth has since upgraded to a larger place nearby, with a pool, Via notes.

On her blog, Roth reveals trade secrets of her master bedroom, inviting fans to “steal the look.” Tidbits include hanging macramé, adding a vintage light fixture, and adding a cozy sitting area. Our favorite detail is the wallpaper mural of the Huntington Beach pier by the fireplace.

But for an interested buyer, no stealing is necessary. The entire place is offered furnished for an additional cost, Via states.

Noting that her home is on the market, Roth writes on her blog, “Truth be told, I’m excited about it, but also a little bit sappy! Excited because I get to pass this amazing home onto someone else, and sappy because this is the first project I ever did! My heart and soul went into this house. I also really honed and refined my signature style in this house.”

Fans will already know that Roth’s go-to look is “California casual,” with a mix of vintage and custom details.

If that’s a look that appeals to you, this house is calling your name.

“A lot of new homes don’t have all the detail and finishes that she has in that house,” Via says.

Noting that Roth built the house for herself, he adds, “Everywhere you look, you see a lot of love and detail.”
