The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price Index rose 5.8% year-over-year in December, compared to a 7.6% gain in November.

Still deep in positive territory, home-price gains post steep declines in latest Case-Shiller 

In Atlanta, home prices posted a 20.1% year-over-year gain in August, compared to a 22.8% gain in July. Month over month, prices fell 0.4%.

S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller: Home-price gains set fourth record in a row

The 10-city composite index rose 1.4% on a monthly basis and 19.1% on a yearly basis, while the 20-city composite gained 1.5% monthly and 19.9% annually.
