The actor Cole Hauser stars in the Paramount Network’s “Yellowstone,” a series in which he plays the character of Rip Wheeler, a ranch foreman.

In real life, Hauser is also a rancher, but perhaps not for long. He owns a horse ranch in Agoura Hills, CA, and it’s now on the market for $4.25 million.

The Santa Barbara native purchased the property in 2010 for $2.33 million, realtor.com® records show. According to the co-listing agent, Lily Harfouche, the actor has enjoyed the ranch as his primary residence for the last decade and is relocating for work.

Built in 2003, the 3-acre “lifestyle” ranch is set behind a double-gated entry in a private neighborhood, and borders thousands of protected acres in Santa Monica National Park.

Located about an hour from Los Angeles, the equestrian estate offers a quick getaway from the city. A “horse lover’s paradise,” as the listing puts it, the picturesque property offers a 5,400-square-foot main house, a one bedroom guesthouse, separate studio apartment, and two garages.

Set on the highest point of the property, the main house offers panoramic views, ample light, and indoor-outdoor flow. The floor plan includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as an office. The large master suite includes a balcony.

Of course, your horse will be happy too, with two equestrian areas and an abundance of trails just out the back door. Harfouche adds that some of the best features of the home are its “end of the road privacy/peace and quiet.” as well as the “National park access for horses and the views of the Santa Monica mountains.”

Hauser, 45, stars with Kevin Costner in “Yellowstone,” which was recently renewed for a fourth season. He’s also appeared in such films as “School Ties,” “Dazed and Confused,” “Good Will Hunting,” “Olympus Has Fallen,” and “2 Fast 2 Furious,” among others.

He comes from Hollywood royalty, as the son of the actor Wings Hauser and Cass Warner, who founded the production company Warner Sisters. His great-grandfather was Harry M. Warner, of Warner Bros.

Harfouche and Jessica White of Compass hold the listing.
