Reese Witherspoon, star of “Legally Blonde,” recently sold her Malibu, CA, farm for $6.7 million, Variety reported.
But beyond the shores of Malibu, the Academy Award-winning actress is also used to winning in her real estate dealings. With one notable exception.
The producer and star of the Hulu hit “Little Fires Everywhere” seems to have homes everywhere. Let’s take a look.
Malibu hobby farm
Not content with acting and producing, Witherspoon has a keen eye for great homes. After she purchased a pastoral property in Malibu last summer for $6.2 million, the place was sold off the market for $6.7 million, leaving the movie star a small profit. Known as Zuma Farms ranch, the place had been renovated with vintage charm and rented out as a wedding venue.
The buyer is reported to be Meg Haney, who, like Witherspoon, hails from Tennessee. The daughter of real estate billionaire Franklin Haney, she’s also the sister of the star’s former stylist, Mary Alice Haney.
The charming 1950s-era abode features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate guesthouse, screening room, and an art studio. The 2-acre spread also includes horse stables and grassy lawns and patios.

Pacific Palisades profit
The patient Witherspoon also pocketed a hefty profit on her longtime Pacific Palisades property, when she sold it for a reported $17 million this spring. While that’s a hefty sum, it’s a few million less than she had initially wanted in 2016, when she and her husband, Jim Toth, had quietly shopped the place around for $20 million.
The couple picked up the property in 2014 for $12,705,000 from the architect Ken Ungar, before it was even finished. They then added their own touches, including security upgrades. The buyers were said to be the AutoZone heiress Robin Formanek and her husband, John Cianciolo.
While the transactions happened off the market, and the only details of the interior available come from glimpses on Instagram, we do know that the East Coast traditional spans two stories and 10,000 square feet, and offers five bedrooms, including a master suite with a sitting room.
Other details include a sleek kitchen with a marble island, which the star had showcased on Instagram. Outdoors are a grassy lawn, an infinity-edge pool, and spa.

Brentwood compound
After buying up a property in the swanky Brentwood area of Los Angeles, Witherspoon and Toth had acquired a megamansion that they eventually put up for sale. The couple had accumulated what amounted to three parcels purchased between 2003 and 2013, at the cost of $11 million.
After picking up the first home in 2003, they bought an adjacent residence, which they reportedly demolished to make space for a roomy backyard. Then, they added to the compound with a third lot.
In 2014, the Spanish-style home in the guard-gated neighborhood came on the market for $10.5 million. An additional parcel was subsequently offered for separate purchase, for an extra $3.5 million, securing the entire cul-de-sac, a total of 1.3 acres. Around this time, the two bought their Pacific Palisades pile.
Ojai ranch
Witherspoon hasn’t limited her land grabs to the greater L.A. area. She also scooped up a getaway in 2008 in the picturesque valley of Ojai, about 75 miles north of Los Angeles. This turned out to be a rare tick in the loss column for the actress.
The 7-acre spread features a four-bedroom main house, as well as a pool, gardens, a barn, and horse stables.
Originally built as a horse stable, the place was transformed by the designer Kathy Ireland, who remodeled the home in keeping with its original rustic sensibility.
Witherspoon bought the vacation spot for $5.8 million and added her own style to the place. The result wound up in a feature in Elle Decor magazine in 2012.
After the positive press coverage, she placed the home on the market that year for $10 million. After a series of price cuts, the chic estate eventually sold a year later for just under $5 million.

Bel-Air Mansion
The Bel-Air mansion Witherspoon owned with her first husband, Ryan Phillippe, was sold long ago, in 2004, for $4.5 million, before the couple split in 2007.
Designed by Gerard Colcord, the home, built in 1969, measures 9,000 square feet on 1 acre, with a pool, spa, poolside guesthouse, and outdoor kitchen.
The European-style residence features a vaulted interior with beamed ceilings, brick fireplace, and built-in seating. The home has since found new owners and is currently not on the market.

Tennessee and the Bahamas
The Nashville native reportedly also owns multiple properties in Music City, possibly inhabited by her relatives.
But there seems to be at least one house where she spends quality time. The entrepreneur recently appeared in the Netflix series for which she was executive producer, “Get Organized: The Home Edit.”
Starring the color-coordinated organizers Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, the first episode of the show features them tackling the star’s oversized closets in her recently renovated Nashville home.
The professional home organizers’ mission is to sort out and store Witherspoon’s red carpet looks over the years, as well as costumes from her “Legally Blonde” movies. No biggie!
The “Wild” actress also reportedly owns a luxury retreat in a guard-gated community in the Bahamas.
If you can’t get enough of the talented Witherspoon, look for her second season of the Apple TV drama “The Morning Show.” And watch out for the return of Elle Woods. The golden-haired lawyer will be returning for a third installment of the “Legally Blonde” movies.
