Can’t wait to see what designs Christina Hall comes up with on Season 2 of “Christina in the Country”? Good news: You can peek into one of Hall’s latest Nashville-area projects.
A four-bedroom, three-bath home in upscale Franklin, TN, hit the market last month at $999,990—and it’s stunning. Filled with Hall’s signature style—from dark, dramatic paint colors to glamorous cabinet pulls—it’s clear she and her team touched every inch of the place.
“This particular lot was a special one,” says listing agent Nick Mancini, of The FRVNT Group, who also partnered with Hall and her husband, Josh Hall, on this flip. “It’s on a half an acre with a creek in the back and [is within] walking distance to historic downtown Franklin, which people love. [Properties] like this … don’t come around often.”
Not surprisingly, the 2,137-square-foot house is already in contingent sale status. But fans can still preview Hall’s handiwork before this renovated residence is featured on the show.
Dramatic design
Hall loves using dark, dramatic colors in her designs, and this exterior look is no exception.
The HGTV star made a statement when she chose black siding, a black roof, and even black trim for this Tennessee dwelling. But she didn’t leave the house entirely monochromatic. To break it up, Hall used white stone on either side of the entry and on the chimney. She also gave the front porch posts a light wood tone. It’s a strategy she’s used before to add a natural element to her trademark glam spaces.
In the living room, Hall incorporated wood with a slat wall around the firebox. She used the same light wood tone for floating shelves in the kitchen. These wood features add an approachable feel to the otherwise black-and-white color palette, and they connect the living room to the kitchen to create a cohesive space.
Spa-worthy baths
While the bedrooms in this home are simply designed with white walls and trim, Hall made a statement with the bathrooms. The primary bath is filled with a double vanity, large walk-in shower, and warm colors. It makes for a luxe and inviting space—just like many of her other bathroom designs.
Even back in her “Flip or Flop” days, Hall has loved making bold choices when it comes to tile. The checkered tile in the secondary bathroom might not be for everyone, but it’s fun and unique.
Even the basement makes a statement
The home also includes a finished basement with a fireplace, bar, and a full bathroom. The color scheme echoes the look upstairs, with black, white, and wood elements filling the living space. Meanwhile, the bathroom features more natural tones.
Hall knows when to let the exteriors speak for themselves. While this building comes with a beautiful back deck, with a black railing to match the home’s moody exterior, Hall left the rest of the yard a blank slate.
The grassy half-acre property provides plenty of room for the new owners to install a pool, an outdoor kitchen, or a fire pit—perhaps all three.
