When a couple buys a house together, you know things are getting serious. That’s what actress Jameela Jamil and her partner, Grammy-winning singer/songwriter James Blake, did in 2022.

Even though they’d been together for years when they snapped up the swanky Hollywood home for $6.4 million, it seemed like a major step forward in their relationship.

But now the pair has put the 6,934-square-foot, Mulholland Drive mansion on the market for $7.2 million.

That doesn’t mean their relationship is heading south, though. It could simply signify that they’re looking for something different or angling for a hefty profit. If they get their asking price, they’ll pocket $800,000—not too bad for a two-year investment in the Hollywood Hills, with remarkable views of Los Angeles.

House of views

Appropriately titled “Villa de Vistas” (house of views), the 1989 build has been completely remodeled since it previously sold for $2,880,000 in 2021. By the time Jamil and Blake picked it up, it was a gleaming contemporary with five bedrooms and 6.5 baths. The posh place cascades down the side of a hill, giving it a seemingly one-story profile from the street.

Now, the entry is on the main level, which opens to a great room with a living/dining area and a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry. Jamil, 37, was born in London, where she hosted radio and television programs before moving to the US in 2016. She has since starred in multiple TV series, including “Legendary,” “The Good Place,” and “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.”

London-born Blake, 35, has released six hit studio albums and collaborated with superstars including Kanye West, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Bon Iver, among others. He recently won a 2024 Grammy for his songwriting contributions to the Best Rap song winner, “Scientists and Engineers.”
