First, Inter Miami CF owner Jorge Mas brought soccer GOAT Lionel Messi to Miami last summer.
Then, the futbol boss broke a real estate record in Pinecrest, FL, selling his incredible mansion there for $13.9 million, the most ever for a property in the South Florida town.
And plenty of positives will flow from the deal.
The buyer is none other than the Village of Pinecrest, and the town was represented by Joshua Kaufman—with The Buchbinder Group at Compass. Pinecrest will convert the estate into a park and indoor facilities for local residents.
Mas is even donating a portion of the purchase price—$3.9 million—back to the municipality, though he’ll also gain a coveted perk for his largesse: naming rights for the future park.
According to reports, the park is likely to be named after Mas’ wife, Aleyda Mas.

Measuring in at 5 acres, this spot was the largest privately held residential plot in Pinecrest and was once owned by the Montgomery family, founders of Fairchild Gardens.
