Photographer Annie Leibovitz, known for her celebrity portraits, is selling her longtime West Side home in New York City for $8.6 million.

This will be a signifiant loss for the artist, who purchased the place in 2014 for $11,250,000, according to Realtor.com®.

The lovely, two-floor Manhattan apartment comes with leafy views and is a quick walk to Central Park.

The prewar duplex has four bedrooms and a prime location near Lincoln Center, museums, abundant shopping, and buzzy restaurants.

As is the case with many of NYC’s stately buildings constructed more than a century ago, this apartment has good bones— high ceilings; beautiful, inlaid wood floors; and decorative moldings.

Curved doorways flow from the entrance into a grand living room separated from the dining area by French doors. Large windows offer light and views of the south end of Central Park.

The kitchen recently got a facelift and now has a dining nook, butler’s pantry, updated appliances, and new cabinetry.

A home office, laundry room, and primary bedroom with an en suite bath are on the main level. The other bedrooms are on the second level.

This white-glove building has all of the expected amenities, including a concierge, doorman services, and private storage.

Leibovitz won’t be out of home when she sells this place. Per reports, she also has a smaller apartment in NYC’s West Village and a country manse in Rhinebeck, NY, about 2.5 hours north of the city.

The talented shutterbug has photographed Hollywood actors, rock ‘n’ roll musicians, and members of royalty throughout her long career. Among her most recognized works are the iconic image of a very pregnant Demi Moore for Vanity Fair magazine and the legendary shot of John Lennon and Yoko Ono curled up together in bed in 1980, just hours before he was killed.

In addition to her work for a number of magazines, Leibovitz has been the subject of a documentary film, and her images have been displayed in museums and galleries around the world.

In 1983, the photog was named photographer of the year by the American Society of Magazine Photographers. Her work has appeared in a variety of advertising campaigns for such companies as Honda, Gap, and American Express.
