John Fogerty, iconic lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival, has put his Thousand Oaks, CA, property on the market for $19,995,000.
According to TMZ, Fogerty bought the 9-bedroom, 12-bath home about a decade ago for $9 million.
Since then, he and wife Julie redesigned and rebuilt much of the property.
A private escape
Set in one of Hidden Valley’s gated communities, the custom Napa-style farmhouse offers breathtaking mountain and ocean views.
The mostly one-level, 18,600-square-foot home was designed by architect Ron Firestone and Candelaria Design.
A perfect flow
Inside, you’ll find a great room with incredible vaulted ceilings; a stone fireplace; wood floors; top-notch, motorized window treatments; and designer light fixtures.
The perfectly appointed kitchen has a center island, marble countertops, and imported custom cabinetry. It also comes complete with a luxe refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher.
The space flows smartly, with the kitchen opening to the living room and great room.
Custom details
Prepare to be impressed with the primary suite, where a gorgeous marble corridor leads to two bathrooms, two larger-than-life closets, and a fireplace. A custom ceiling crowns the space nicely.
The house also features eight more en suite bedrooms.
Recording studios and more
Naturally, Fogerty’s home is outfitted with two multimillion-dollar, soundproof recording studios. There’s also a theater, wellness center, gym, pool, and a bar room with temperature-controlled wine walls. Other bonus features include a Crestron smart home system and security cameras.
The swanky abode even boasts a second-story apartment, perfect for hosting visitors. Plus, there’s a detached guesthouse with a custom pool and spa, several fire pits, and an outdoor kitchen.
Resortlike grounds
The beautiful residence is set on 22 acres of perfectly manicured, drought-tolerant gardens that add color and character to the property.
Got a green thumb? You’ll appreciate the estate’s greenhouse. And if you’re athletic, you’ll love the sports court.
Fogerty, 78, hit the music scene more than 50 years ago. Beyond his legendary work with Creedence Clearwater Revival, the award-winning performer also has a successful solo career.
