A Florida home, where Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger might’ve crooned lullabies to his young son, is for sale.

The house is on a third-acre lot in the Lakewood Ranch community and is listed for $3,499,000. Jagger and his partner, Melanie Hamrick, bought the place in 2020 for $1,980,000, property records show. The couple have been together since 2014 and have a 6-year-old son named Deveraux.

“It’s a custom-built home that was really built around privacy, and that’s what drew Melanie and Mick to it,” explains listing agent Christine Spelman, with Re/Max Alliance Group. She also sold the home to the couple. “It’s an exceptional lot with water on two sides and only one neighbor. Security issues were paramount for them.”

The 5,726-square-foot, four bedroom, 5.5-bath home was built in 2008.

Jagger and Hamrick “spent the last two years with two different decorators, doing extensive upgrades and changes to make it their own,” Spelman says. “It was originally very dark woods, and they made it very light and airy. It’s elegant but very comfortable.”

The couple spent more than $300,000 on the renovations.

A private staircase leads up to the main bedroom, which has a balcony and its own fireplace.

“The feedback I’m getting is that the upgrades have been fantastic and that it’s not your typical Florida house,” Spelman reports. “There’s nothing cookie cutter about it.”

The couple added some custom features, including a dance studio space with a ballet barre. Hamrick is a former ballerina and choreographer with the American Ballet Theatre. She retired from dancing in 2019.

“It’s a landing at the top of the stairs,” Spelman says, adding that it’s a flex space. “It’s a large and comfortable area that could be used for so many things.”

Notably, the home boasts one especially unique feature.

“It has a bell tower overlooking the lake and the sunset,” Spelman says. “I haven’t shown another house with a bell tower. It has a bell in it, and it’s pretty cool. It does work.”

She says the couple is selling the house because they just don’t spend much time there.

“They’re heading back to New York City because that’s where a lot of their business is taking them these days,” Spelman explains. “They love the house and the area and, when they’ve been here, it’s always wonderful.”

Hamrick is currently on a book tour for her first novel, “First Position.” Spelman says Hamrick did some of the writing in this Florida home.

The house “was gorgeous, and I thought it was perfect for them,” Spelman says, of the couple. “We had been looking for houses, and this one really checked a lot of the boxes. They knew they could change it and make it their own. Like I tell all my clients, you can change anything about the house—but nothing about the lot.”

Jagger, an enduring rock legend at 79, has enjoyed a hit-making career spanning six decades.
