The Sunshine State is fully in the rearview mirror for peripatetic college football coach Lane Kiffin. He recently listed his gorgeous home in Boca Raton, FL, for $3.95 million.

When Kiffin was hired as the head coach at Florida Atlantic University five years ago, we examined whether or not the job-hopping coach should consider renting in Florida. But if he manages to score the asking price for the home he eventually purchased, it would nearly double the $2.1 million he paid for it in 2017. A savvy move on Kiffin’s part.

He’s now in the middle of his third season as the head football coach at the University of Mississippi, so it makes sense to try and shed his Florida holdings. However, saying so long to this pretty property was likely a tough call.

The four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home is spread over 4,120 square feet and comes with coveted water access via a dock that sits just beyond the pool and spa area. The luxury residence sits on a nearly 9,000-square-foot lot and comes complete with a new roof and impact-resistant glass for when inevitable tropical storms and hurricanes blow through.

Breezy, covered porches are featured on both sides of the back facade, and there’s loads of room for outdoor dining and entertaining. The home comes with a three-car garage, an outdoor kitchen under the loggia powered by gas, and sculpted shrubbery and other plantings in front.

Grillin’ and chillin’ is the order of the day here.

The well-traveled Kiffin has found a measure of success at Ole Miss, leading the team to bowl appearances twice in his short tenure. In addition to his tenure at Florida Atlantic University, Kiffin served as head coach at the University of Southern California and the University of Tennessee.

Kiffin received his big coaching break when he was hired by the then-Oakland Raiders as head coach at the age of 31 in 2007. He lasted only 20 games in the NFL and has since gone on to bounce around the country from college to college.
