With a massive list price of $30 million, a huge, waterfront home in Windermere, FL, is now the area’s most expensive, and largest, listing.

The property sits atop the home listings in both Windermere and nearby Orlando, according to Realtor.com®.

The 30,000-square-foot house comes with 18 acres on the banks of a lake near Orlando.

“This accumulation of acreage is very unusual, and you have almost 50,000 square feet of structures on the property,” says Mick Night. Night and John Pinel, both of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, are the listing agents for the property.

“It is kind of timeless architecture. I haven’t run across anything like it in my 34 years in the Orlando real estate market,” Night adds.

The stately main house was built in 2011. It features classic Georgian architecture with seven bedrooms and 14 full bathrooms. The rooms are spacious and come with mahogany wood accents, paneling, and Murano chandeliers.

“Whoever buys it is probably going to personalize it for themselves on the interiors and decorating, but you’ve got the ceiling heights, the room sizes, and the scale is there since the rooms are the appropriate scale for the size of the property,” Night says. “It feels fairly open when you walk through it and does not feel compartmentalized. There’s a lot of potential there depending on what direction the buyer wants to take it.”

Two large bedroom suites are on the main floor; four others, including the primary suite, are on the second floor.

And here’s a fun fact: The nightly fireworks display courtesy of nearby Disney World can be viewed from the screened porch, the listing notes.

The property includes a 5,600-square-foot entertaining lodge with a full kitchen.

“It’s more like a cabana and has views of the lake, but it’s just an extremely large, flexible space that somebody could turn into anything,” Night says. “It could be additional guest suites. It could be an incredible office if somebody wanted something separate from the main house.”

There’s also a 3,800-square-foot storage building and a 4,000-square-foot garage with a high ceiling, an apartment, and an office area, as well as room for about 30 cars.

The resort-style pool “has a country club look to it. I love how far removed from the house it is, so it’s really a destination type of pool and allows a whole separate venue for entertaining,” Night says.

There’s also a dock with a boathouse on the 625 feet of lakefront.

The estate has privacy due to the lake, the acreage, and 500 live oak trees.

“There’s a double tier of trees planted around the entire perimeter of the property. I’ve never seen anything like it. That just adds to creating the secluded feeling that you’re there and you just literally don’t see anything else,” Night says.

“There’s a myriad of ways you can develop this property if someone doesn’t want it just as one large estate,” Night says. “They could do outparcels in front of the house; they could do a family compound and have more structures. They could develop the land on the east side and do multiple homes there.”

The upscale area is also where NBA great Shaquille O’Neal had his longtime Shaq-apulco estate. The mansion on 3 acres was listed for $28 million in 2018 and eventually sold for $11 million in 2021.
