Builder breaks ground on condo phase at Waterside MPC

Atlanta homebuilder The Providence Group of Georgia broke ground on a new phase of its Waterside master-planned community in Peachtree Corners that will bring 30 condominiums to the active-adult development.

Priced from the mid-$400,000s to the high-$500,000s, the one-, two- and three-bedroom condos will span 1,500 to 2,500 square feet in single-level, open-concept floorplans. Each unit has a private garage and no shared corridors.

The initial phase of Waterside, which is situated on the Chattahoochee River near The Forum on Peachtree Parkway, featured single-family, detached homes and two-story front-entry and three-story rear-entry townhomes.

“Waterside is a very attractive option for people who want to be closer to their adult children and grandchildren,” Providence Group community sales manager Sheena Martin said in a press release. “We have a lot of plan options that work for different life stages. The location along the river is amazing. It’s a walkable community and will have great amenities.”

Construction recently started on the $320 million community’s amenity center, which will include a clubhouse with fitness center, community pool, pickleball courts, event lawns and a riverside pavilion with firepits. A future phase will include independent living, assisted living and memory-care facilities for owners 55 and older.

The Providence Group is building the community in a joint venture with East Jones Bridge River Holdings LLC.
