Drake has successfully sold a trio of homes in the exclusive enclave of Hidden Hills, CA.

The final transaction was the sale of the rapper’s massive YOLO estate, named after the phrase “You only live once.” He pocketed $12 million for the mansion, with the total on the three homes he sold coming out to a whopping $23 million.

When his assemblage of properties was listed in March, we asked real estate experts if he could get his $22.2 million asking price. They thought he would get that or a little more. As it turns out, they were right on the money.

Drake has since decamped to a Beverly Hills spread he reportedly picked up from fellow musician Robbie Williams. And he also owns a custom-built megamansion in Toronto.

Let’s take a look at what went down in SoCal.

YOLO Estate

The first of Drizzy’s splurges in Hidden Hills was in 2012, when he bought a resort-style property on 3 acres for $7.7 million.

Given the name YOLO Estate by the rapper, the party pad received a full makeover by its previous owners. Updates included a massive swimming pool with a spa grotto, swim-up bar, waterfalls, and rock waterslide.

The 12,500-square-foot English Tudor features a 25-seat theater, game room, massage room, and wine cellar.

It has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and the primary bedroom suite is a 2,000-square-foot sanctuary with soaking tubs and vanities. There are coffered and beamed ceilings and six fireplaces throughout.

The grounds come with equestrian facilities with a riding area, a sand volleyball court, a mechanical bull, and tennis courts.

Drake listed the mansion in March for $14.8 million, eventually selling it for $12 million.

Adjacent abodes

Over the years, Drake snapped up two of the neighboring homes. These properties were listed in March, along with the YOLO Estate. They could be purchased together or separately.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford bought the two adjoining properties for $11 million, which was $3.6 million over the asking price. The YOLO Estate would remain on the market.

Ranch-style residences

Stafford is now the proud owner of two ranch-style homes. One is a renovated five-bedroom home on 1.6 acres.

Spanning 3,645 square feet, the home features light-filled living spaces, fireplaces, high ceilings, and hardwood floors. The landscaped backyard includes a lounge, barbecue, pizza oven, and heated pool.

The property comes with an 800-square-foot guesthouse and pool house. Listed for $4.5 million, the home was sold for $5 million.

The other adjacent property is similar in style and measures 2,500 square feet. Offering “rustic charm,” it sits on 2 tranquil acres, which are dotted with mature pine, sycamore, pomegranate, citrus, and California pepper trees. 

Drake picked up the three-bedroom home in 2018 for $4.5 million. He listed it in March for the much lower price of $2.9 million, and Stafford paid $6 million for it.
