Actors Kate Mara and Jamie Bell have put their Los Angeles home on the market for $3.2 million, according to Dirt.

The married couple picked up the pretty property in 2018 for $2,567,000, which was $272,000 over the asking price. They’ve since made some cosmetic touches to the home.

Originally designed by architect Garrett Van Pelt, the single-story home was built in 1936 and features 2,936 square feet of living space. There are four bedrooms.

The revamped interiors include a mix of brick and wood flooring, French doors, and built-ins.

Privacy and seclusion

The gated home on the street-to-street lot is “veiled from the street,” and a hedge row enhances the secluded setting, according to the listing. This privacy is rare in the Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood, which is popular with celebrities, including Mara’s sister, actress Rooney Mara. The star of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” sold her nearby midcentury modern home in 2018.

Mara may be best known for her role in the Netflix political drama “House of Cards.” She’s also starred in the movies “The Martian,” “Chappaquiddick,” and “Fantastic Four,” where she met her future husband.

Bell, a British actor and dancer, rose to fame with his debut role in “Billy Elliot.” Along with movies such as “King Kong” and “Snowpiercer,” he most recently starred as Bernie Taupin in “Rocketman.”
