Welcome to the future: The country music star Brad Paisley and the actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley have recorded a sale of their Franklin, TN, property.

The land in this upscale area sold for $2 million on Feb. 4, according to property records.

The Grammy-award winner picked up the prime piece of wooded acreage in 2006, paying $850,000. That means he received a nice return on his longtime investment.

Alas, no photos appear in the listing. But from what we can glean, the “off-road” locale is a whopping 106 acres, with a small, 1,152-square-foot structure on it.

Country home

The low-key celebs have revealed little of their home life. But they still own what has been described as a two-story luxury log cabin in Franklin. The duo purchased the 12,746-square-foot property for $1.35 million in 2004. The compound includes the adjoining lots as well, which adds up to more than 11 acres.

The musician reportedly converted a guesthouse on land he owns into a recording studio, so he was well-positioned to ride out the pandemic and keep the music coming.

While staying at home at the height of the coronavirus, the singer-songwriter took requests on a Facebook live concert from his recording studio, where he set up a whimsical display of plush toys as his makeshift audience.

 

The animal-loving family admitted that they’ve recently started to rescue donkeys, like this one posted on Instagram.

SoCal spots

Previously, the couple also spent time on the West Coast. While there, they picked up a restored retreat in Pacific Palisades for $1.65 million in 2004, according to the Los Angeles Times.

In 2013, they placed the home on the market, asking just under $3 million. That four-bedroom abode eventually sold for $2.5 million.

It spans 3,394 square feet, and the layout features a two-story living room with a fireplace, stained-glass windows, and a formal dining room. The trellised backyard includes a lawn and citrus trees.

However, they didn’t completely cut their ties to California. They still own a beautiful Montecito retreat.

Purchased in 2010 for $4 million, the three-bedroom, Spanish-style estate spans 3,981 square feet, ocean and mountain views, and a flowing floor plan that leads out to multiple terraces. The 1-acre grounds include a two-bedroom guesthouse, pool, gardens, patios, and outdoor dining area.

The chart-topping performer has sold over 11 million albums. He’s set to perform shows in Las Vegas in March and to launch a worldwide tour.

Williams-Paisley has starred in “Father of the Bride” movies and the TV shows “According to Jim,” and “Nashville.”
