Funeral arrangements have been set for a 16-year-old girl killed last weekend inside a downtown Atlanta hotel.
Kalecia “Pinky” Williams, who attended South Atlanta High School, was shot by another teenager minutes after Christmas at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta on Peachtree Street, according to police.
Her viewing will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the R.W. Andrews Mortuary in East Point, according to the teen’s online obituary. Williams’ funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Life Changing Walk of Faith Church on Washington Road.
Authorities said Williams was shot Saturday during an argument inside a hotel room. Police responded to the Hyatt about 12:30 a.m. after receiving calls about the shooting, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Anthony Grant said.

They arrived to find Williams unconscious in the hotel lobby with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The teen’s shooting was one of three slayings reported across the city within 24 hours over a violent Christmas weekend.
“Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was inside of a room at the Hyatt Regency with a juvenile male companion,” Grant said. “A verbal dispute occurred between both parties which resulted in the juvenile male fatally shooting the victim.”
The teenage boy, who has not been identified, was taken into custody at the scene and interviewed at Atlanta police headquarters. He was later charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, reckless conduct and possession of a pistol by someone younger than 18.
Investigators described the two teens as “acquaintances” and said they were the only people inside the room at the time of the shooting. It’s unclear what the argument was about.
