The reality competition “Rock the Block” Season 5 was filled with design, drama, and even some judging controversy. But by the end of the season, HGTV had produced four spectacular beachside homes in Treasure Island, FL.
And now, the winning house is for sale.
This four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom dwelling, which was renovated by twin sisters Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis of “Unsellable Houses,” has everything: a modern kitchen, a wine room, a media room, three laundry rooms, a pool, a whirlpool, a boat dock, and solar panels.
It also comes fully furnished. But even so, the $2,999,900 list price is undeniably steep for an area where the median home list price is $837,000.
On “Rock the Block,” in which HGTV stars are judged based on how much value they can add to a property, each of the four identical competition homes were appraised for $1.7 million before renovations.
After each team spent $250,000 on design and upgrades, Davis and Lamb’s house was declared the winner with an impressive $2.3 million valuation. So why is it now listed for nearly $700,000 more than the valuation?

Sweet retreat
On “Rock the Block,” Lamb and Davis said their design style for this home was “tropical retreat.” They gave the living space some lush green touches as well as making it feel like a calming oasis.
The kitchen is modern but earthy, with wood-tone cabinets and a green island.
Meanwhile, the temperature-controlled wine room puts dozens of bottles on display, while keeping them cool.
The deck serves as a second kitchen and living space, with a barbecue, fridge, and plenty of space for a dining table and a casual sitting area. With its water view, who wouldn’t want to hang out on this deck?
Bold and beautiful
Davis and Lamb used a lot of bold wallpapers and colors in this house, including the media room.
For one of the weekly “Rock the Block” challenges, the competitors were tasked with giving one of their guest bedrooms a theme, such as office or crafts room. The twins decided to make their room a music studio, with a workspace for recording and a soundproofing feature, which reaches the ceiling in a layered effect.
The primary suite is certainly a big selling point. It features a built-in storage and bar area, complete with a minifridge. This makes it easy to enjoy a coffee, or a nightcap, without going downstairs.
But since Lamb and Davis designed this space to feel like a wellness retreat, the minifridge could be perfect for storing spa items, like cooling eye masks, which require refrigeration.
The closet also has thoughtful touches, including bars that come down to create more usable space up above.
“We actually were thinking about people our height,” Davis explained on the show. “So we’ve got these bars that come down. You can grab whatever you need, and then it just goes right back up.”
In the loft outside the main bedroom, Lamb and Davis create a workspace with lots of storage. They add grass-cloth wallpaper to make this area pop.
“Painting would be faster and cheaper, but we definitely wanted to go with a statement in this area,” Davis said in the episode.
Next to the office space, the twins added a laundry room with a dog-washing station. It’s a fun addition pet lovers are sure to appreciate.
Resortlike touches
Davis and Lamb also renovated the backyard pool, adding a sun shelf and a hot tub. They also made this yard feel like a resort by incorporating a fire pit and a palapa cover for sun protection. There’s also a living space and bar in the patio area, which Lamb and Davis upgraded with a retractable screen
“By the time the sun starts to go down, the mosquitoes come out,” Lamb said on the series. “And then this whole area, we can make it as beautiful as we want, but it’ll be completely unusable.”
Now, the patio can be enjoyed around the clock.
