Tarek and Heather El Moussa are staying busy.
The couple made headlines with news of their upcoming show, “The Flip Off.” The premise of it is that the El Moussas will compete against Tarek’s ex-wife, Christina Hall, and her husband, Josh Hall, to find, buy, renovate, and flip a house for the biggest profit.
Meanwhile, fans are still eagerly awaiting Season 2 of HGTV’s “The Flipping El Moussas,” which is expected sometime this year. In the meantime, the couple recently listed three stunning Southern California flips: one in Yorba Linda, another in Laguna Niguel, and a third in Hawthorne. Each of the homes is sensational, and you won’t believe that one was almost a teardown.
So feast your eyes on these flips and the charming details in each.
1. 6052 Candle Light Ln, Yorba Linda, CA
Price: $2,399,900
This four-bedroom residence was listed at the beginning of June for $2,499,900. But after just a couple of weeks, the El Moussas dropped the price to $2,399,900.
And while this 2,500-square-foot home might still be expensive for the area—the median listing home price in this area is $614 per square foot, and this one is priced at $960—their work here is beautiful.
The house features a big living room with a built-in media wall and an open-concept kitchen with a big island. Wood-tone cabinets and a stone backsplash give the kitchen a stylish yet natural feel.
There are two main suites, ideal for multigenerational living, but the home’s real highlight might be the stunning backyard.
Set on a half-acre lot, the place comes with a newly plastered pool and spa, plus plenty of green space—a rare sight in Southern California. With a covered patio and a custom-built gas fire pit, this yard is ready for sunny days and cool nights.
2. 30306 Benecia Ave, Laguna Niguel, CA
Price: $2,299,900
This four-bedroom home is very similar in price to the Yorba Linda listing, but there are some important differences.
There’s no pool on this property and, at just 1,758 square feet, the dwelling is much smaller. Still, a buyer should expect to pay more in Laguna Niguel, a sought-after community a short drive from the beach.
The El Moussas gave this house fresh, natural finishes with a lot of wood-tone features and an open living space. The designated dining space features accordion doors that lead out to the backyard—and a lovely view. Meanwhile, the main bedroom offers the same outdoor access.
Speaking of, the yard is perfect for entertaining. There’s a wood deck, a fire pit with lots of seating, and even a new outdoor kitchen. The El Moussas certainly made the most of this space, despite its smaller lot.
3. 11713 Tarron Ave, Hawthorne, CA
Price: $999,900
Looking for a Tarek and Heather bargain? This three-bedroom home is listed for under $1 million.
The house is small, at just 1,192 square feet, but the place has come a long way since they purchased it. In a recent Instagram post, Tarek and Heather shared footage of the pre-renovation home, which was unsightly and full of garbage.
“We’ve flipped many houses but this one… this one could’ve been a tear down!” Tarek wrote in the post.
While this home has a smaller footprint than the other two homes, the El Moussas did a great job of creating an open, inviting living space.
The kitchen is light and bright, with white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, and a custom-tiled backsplash. In the living space, the tile fireplace looks sleek and elegant while wood shelves add an earthy feel.
The three bedrooms are lovely, as is the yard, which features a large deck, a patio area, and a grassy space that’s just big enough for energetic kids and pets.
