Pop star Britney Spears generated unwelcome attention recently with multiple reports of an altercation with her boyfriend, Paul Soliz, at the famed Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles. Photos from the incident show Spears wrapped in blankets as she left the building, sparking concerns about her mental and physical health.

TMZ also reports the singer is “completely dysfunctional” and in danger of going broke.

However, Spears herself denied the reports May 2, posting on Instagram, “The news is fake!”

She added, in part, “Just to let people know I am getting stronger everyday” and further explained, “I twisted my ankle last night and paramedics showed up at my door illegally. They never came in my room but I felt completely harassed. I’m moving to Boston!!! Peace”

While we have no idea whether she’s serious about moving to Beantown, we do know where Spears currently lives on the West Coast. Spoiler alert: It’s a short list. And if she’s browsing for a place to buy in Boston, we do know of a site that can help.

For a pop star who has reached the pinnacle of success, she’s done scant work in the real estate department. Even after her release from a controversial arrangement that oversaw her life and money, Spears hasn’t dabbled much in mansions.

Let’s take a look at her current and former homes.

SoCal estate

Purchased in 2015 for $7.4 million during the singer’s Las Vegas residency, her massive Mediterranean villa sits on 20 acres in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Set behind two private gates within White Stallion Estates, the enclave offers plenty of privacy. Her five-bedroom residence features a two-story entry, great room with a 35-foot ceiling, an oak-paneled library, a formal living room, dining room, chef’s kitchen, and breakfast room. High-end perks include a 3,500-bottle wine cellar, an elevator, and a huge media/game room.

Parklike grounds include a lighted tennis court, an infinity pool, a spa, an orchard, and a three-green golf course. A detached pool house with a full kitchen and bath is included, too.

Should Spears want to stay put and branch out, the property she owns comes with two additional building pads. Perhaps she could add a recording studio or a dance studio.

Short fling in Calabasas

The “Circus” singer had a fling with a property in the double-gated and celebrity-friendly Calabasas neighborhood.

She purchased a mansion for a hefty $11.8 million in June 2022, then turned around and sold it eight months later at a loss—for $10.1 million.

Spears snagged the swanky, 1.6-acre spread shortly after her nuptials to actor Sam Asghari.

The two divorced after just 14 months, and Spears opted to part ways with the property, too.

The 11,650-square-foot mansion she left behind has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Built in 2009, the single-level residence features arched hallways, custom candelabras, and a 33-foot entry foyer wrapped in carved stone.

Other highlights include a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar and center island, a 10-seat home theater, game room, gift-wrapping room, wet bar, and an office with a coffered ceiling. The home is equipped with smart technology and a camera system. A luxe primary suite comes with dual dressing areas, walk-in closets, a walk-in safe, and a gym.

On the grounds, there’s a mosaic-tiled pool, a hot tub, and multiple waterfalls. There’s also a heated patio, an outdoor kitchen, a one-bedroom guesthouse, and a four-car garage.

Childhood home in Louisiana

Followers of the pop princess might be heartened to know that her childhood home in Kentwood, LA, is still available for $1.2 million. It landed on the market last October and grabbed plenty of attention, becoming the most popular home on Realtor.com®.

The house where the superstar spent her formative years is in its original condition, which means that certain childhood mementos in her room remain.

This 2,3000-square-foot “piece of music history” sits on a 1.8 acre, “park-like” parcel. The three-bedroom abode includes gems such as Britney Spears stickers and a VIP pass from the ‘N Sync World Tour ’98 in one of the bedrooms. The original dance studio where the aspiring performer once practiced is also intact.

Will a fan eventually snag this “unique opportunity” to live in the home where “Britney’s remarkable career took root,” as the listing notes?
