Pittsburgh Steelers QB Russell Wilson will make some big-time bank on the sale of his massive estate in Bellevue, WA.
The Seattle-area compound, with six bedrooms and 5.5 baths, reportedly changed hands for just over $21 million, which is 15% less than the list price of $24.9 million. It’s now pending sale on Realtor.com®.
According to the Wall Street Journal, an adjacent lot was also sold for $9.75 million, bringing the total haul to $31 million for the former Seattle Seahawks star.
It’s quite a return on investment for Wilson and his wife, Grammy winner Ciara, who paid $6.7 million in 2015, when Wilson played for Seattle.
The couple had listed the glamorous estate in 2022 for a hefty $36 million, the state’s most expensive listing at the time. Even with the price reduction, the couple will come out well ahead.
2024 has been good to Wilson regarding real estate wise. He also unloaded his castlelike dwelling near Denver for $21.5 million in March. He had purchased the Cherry Hills Village property for $25 million in 2022, when he was traded to the Denver Broncos.
Beautiful in Bellevue
Here’s more on his Pacific Northwest property that measures more than 11,100 square feet inside and sits on the shores of Lake Washington.
This palatial property on a bluff enjoys 180-degree views of Lake Washington as well as 164 feet of waterfront. Opulence is everywhere, from the 20-foot entryway to the ornate scrolled stair railing to the stately columns lining the main hall.
The chef’s kitchen is equipped with a 14-foot island, an eight-burner range, and counter seating. The primary bedroom includes a sitting area, a luxe bathroom with a deep soaking tub, and spacious walk-in closets.
Other amenities include two balconies, a yoga studio, a recording studio, a playroom, a home theater, and an elevator. Outside, there are three patios, parking for 12 cars, a two-story treehouse for the kids, and a dock with three slips.
Don’t feel like walking to your boat? There’s a tram to whisk you there.
Wilson, 35, is a Super Bowl champ, earning a ring with Seattle in 2014. After 10 seasons with the Seahawks, he played for two mediocre seasons with the Denver Broncos. Cut loose by the Broncos in March, he will try to revive his career in the Steel City after signing a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
