John Fogerty, iconic frontman of swamp rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, has listed his Hidden Hills, CA, compound for $21.5 million.
The tremendous five-bedroom, eight-bath, Los Angeles-area estate sits on 2.26 acres. It includes an expansive, recently renovated main residence built in 2014, a separate guesthouse, four-stall barn, and a pool house.
Fogerty isn’t the only superstar who has called this place home. The musician purchased the property for $17.2 million in 2023 from the movie star Sylvester Stallone, who owned the place for two years.
And this isn’t the singer’s only recent foray into the real estate market. In 2021, Fogerty listed his elegant Encino, CA, mansion, which actress Hailee Steinfeld purchased. Then in 2023, he put his Thousand Oaks, CA, pad on the market for nearly $20 million.
Bells and whistles
As for the rocker’s most-recent listing, this Hamptons-style spot has all the bells and whistles.
Set in a guard-gated community, the residence is accessed by a long, gated driveway that leads to the front of the main house, which boasts a perfectly manicured garden.
A massive foyer with a double-height ceiling and a curved staircase create a dramatic entrance to the home.
The extra-large family room boasts a vaulted ceiling, fireplace, and pocket doors that lead to a covered patio.
Right off the family room is the chef’s kitchen with a marble-topped, center island; stainless steel appliances; and stylish, white cabinets. An adjacent formal dining room has a wall of windows and recessed lighting.
There’s also a sitting room with a fireplace and built-in shelving, a spacious home theater, an office, and a massage room.
Three bathrooms are on the main level, while the primary bathroom boasts a soaking tub and stone countertops.
The bedrooms are large and full of light, situated seamlessly with the surrounding layout.
Colossal compound
This property is quite the three-for-one deal. Not only does it have a massive main residence, but it also comes with a picture-perfect guesthouse and a pool house.
The guesthouse has wood-beamed ceilings and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Meanwhile, the pool house features an open layout with many windows and skylights.
The grounds are also a sight to behold. There’s a greenhouse, four-car garage, custom pool and spa, and rolling orchards dotted with mature fruit trees. The landscape is drought resistant, which makes for one less thing to worry about.
Fogerty, 78, is a founding member of the swamp-rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, which was active from 1967-1972 and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Fogerty started a successful solo career following the band’s split.
