After a disappointing showing in the Super Tuesday elections, Republican Nikki Haley announced on Wednesday that she would be suspending her presidential campaign.

Former President Donald Trump bested her in all but one of 15 state races to become the Republican nominee in November. Haley claimed a victory in Vermont on Tuesday and another in Washington, DC, on Sunday.

“I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard. I have done that,” Haley said in a speech on Wednesday. “I have no regrets.”

The former ambassador to the United Nations and governor of South Carolina can return to the luxurious, 5,700-square-foot home she shares with her husband on Kiawah Island, SC, as she figures out her next move. The home is about 25 miles southwest of Charleston.

She and her husband, Michael Haley, purchased the four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home for $2.4 million in fall 2019, according to property records. The home is now worth an estimated $4.8 million, according to valuations on Realtor.com®.

The Mediterranean-style mansion, built in 2003, boasts a two-story foyer where the Republican can make a grand entrance, tiered balconies, and a casual dining room that opens to a terrace.

The primary bedroom suite also has its own terrace as well as a sitting area complete with a breakfast bar. There are two walk-in closets.

In addition, there is a four-stop elevator, which should help to accommodate guests with mobility issues.

The half-acre property features an in-ground pool, poolside loggia, and outdoor kitchen. The land is also home to century-old oaks and palm trees.

Haley served as the governor of South Carolin from 2011 to 2017. She joined Trump’s cabinet as the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. in 2017 and served until 2018. She then joined the board of Boeing before resigning in 2020.
