Inglorious Real Estate: Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus Unload NYC Townhouse at a Loss

There’s good and bad news in the real estate world for Hollywood couple Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus.

The upside is that the “Inglourious Basterds” actress and “Walking Dead” star have found a buyer for their four-bedroom, three-bath New York City townhouse.

But the less-positive angle here is the pair’s profit. The historic, four-story home was purchased in 2018 for $11.75 million. After meandering on and off the market over the last couple of years for as much as $13 million, the listing appeared last month for $9,995,000. That price cut seems to have attracted a buyer, and the listing is now in pending status, but the final sale price hasn’t yet been disclosed.

While interior photos of the brick row house aren’t available, the listing reports the rooms and mechanicals have been meticulously renovated. The grand space now features zoned heat and air, a security package, an intercom, and sound-system wiring.

Good bones are a big part of what makes for a coveted property, but location is also critical.

This home is in the heart of Greenwich Village, close to shops and restaurants. Plus, it’s just steps from Washington Square Park and the Hudson River Park, which is the longest of its type in the nation.

Per the schematic in the listing, the more-than-3,600-square-foot home appears well proportioned. There’s a dining and living room combination on the main floor, which is on the second level, as well as another living room and office on the third floor.

The primary suite occupies the entire top floor and includes a large dressing room and bathroom with a separate tub and shower. The first floor has a den, and the basement houses the laundry area.

But the nicest amenity here is perhaps the 1,000-square-foot rooftop space, which boasts stunning views, a fireplace, and a full outdoor kitchen.

Kruger, a former fashion model, has appeared in a number of movies, such as “Marlowe,” “National Treasure 2,” and “Troy.”

Along with starring in “The Walking Dead,” Reedus has also paraded down the catwalk, working for such brands as Prada and Levis. He also recently, rented out his Georgia home.

And, fun fact: Reedus and Kruger once owned a castle in Los Angeles. They sold the place in 2021.
