Country singer Natalie Maines is prepping to part ways with her Los Angeles home in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood.

Maines, lead singer of The Chicks (formerly known as The Dixie Chicks), purchased the chic property in 2007 for $5.6 million.

Now, she’s listed the house for $8,495,000, which could amount to a tidy profit.

The gated, midcentury modern gem is in Mandeville Canyon at the end of a cul-de-sac, which means privacy and quiet are built right in.

There’s more than an acre for outdoor fun, thanks to the verdant plantings, spacious lawn, and mature trees.

The outside is brought inside this lovely home via banks of windows and lofty ceilings. An open floor plan allows for a seamless flow that includes a sculptural fireplace in the living room and a striking kitchen, outfitted with deep-green cabinets, an island, and a massive fridge.

The bedrooms are also light and bright, courtesy of glass walls and nifty clerestory windows up high.

The bathrooms are well appointed, including one with double sinks, skylights, and a walk-in shower.

Outside, there’s a pool and spa with a waterslide and waterfall, a pergola, and space to lounge and entertain.

Maines’ fellow Chicks are sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer. In 2020, the band dropped “Dixie” from its name, on account of the word’s negative connotations.

With 13 Grammys and a legion of fans, The Chicks have sold over 30 millions albums and charted 15 Top 10 country singles.
