You might think that wealthy L.A. industry types would be eager to snap up this bucolic enclave for $25 million. But that hasn’t proven to be the case. After sitting on the market for about 10 months with no acceptable offers, the listing was just discounted to $19,950,000.

That still might sound steep to some, but the Calabasas country compound known as Oaktree Ranch has a lot to offer.

Spread across the property’s sprawling acreage is a consummately chic main residence, a pristine stable, spacious caretaker’s house, a pool, lighted tennis court, and extraordinary livestock accommodations.

Daly assembled the ranch in 1999 by purchasing two adjacent properties for a total of about $6.8 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Brooklyn-born mogul then razed the existing house and commissioned esteemed architect Mark Rios to design a grand, 7,500-square-foot manor house that was completed in 2003 and still dazzles today.

The extensive use of wood, stone, glass, and stainless steel marries country style and city living under towering, wood-beamed ceilings with skylights. The massive great room flows from the living room to the dining space and into the kitchen, where stainless steel counters and multiple other sun-flooded eating and sitting areas await.

The rustic-yet-modern residence has three vast bedrooms—one of them a primary suite that spans the entire second floor and features a large office with meeting space, a bedroom with charming window seats, a walk-in closet, and a relaxing bath lounge.

Outside, the pool and its extensive deck, along with a cabana and a bathroom, are all shaded by stately oaks, which dot the property. There’s also a guest or caretaker’s house on the land.

The horses enjoy equally posh living space. There’s an elegant, eight-stall stable with a manager’s office, two corrals, and seemingly endless riding trails.

The aviary accommodations include a chicken coop that can hold enough fowl to produce some 25 dozen eggs per week, a pigeon coop, plus shelter and ponds for ducks.

Robert “Bob” Daly, 87, has held leadership roles at major media companies including CBS Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, Warner Music Group, and Warner Bros., where he was chairman of the board and co-chief executive officer.

After leaving Warner Bros., Daly bought a stake in the Los Angeles Dodgers and served as managing partner, chairman, and chief executive officer.
