He’ll either sell it or “die trying.”
Jim Grant, author of the popular “Jack Reacher” novels (and best known by his pen name Lee Child), has put his colossal New York City condo on the market for $11 million.
Grant picked up the place in 2014 for $9,150,000.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment is just steps from Central Park and boasts more than 70 feet of park frontage.
Built in 1906, the property is in one of the city’s most prestigious buildings and comes with a hefty HOA fee of $8,533 a month. Amenities include a full-time doorman, gorgeous lobby, garage, bike room, shared laundry room, and a package room. A new gym is set to open next spring.
The high life
Located on the 11th floor, this swanky apartment has a flexible layout with spectacular park views. The large foyer leads to a spacious grand room that works wonderfully as the living area. This space boasts large picture windows, chic molding, and stylish hardwood floors.
Just a few steps away is the gourmet kitchen, which features a Carrara marble-topped island and a deep sink.
Other amenities include a commercial-grade, six-burner Viking stove; Sub-Zero double refrigerator; and a pantry. There’s also an adjacent, windowed, formal dining room with built-in shelving.
Live like royalty
The impressive, king-sized main suite is situated in its own wing. It includes a sitting room, multiple walk-in closets, and an en suite bathroom with a tub, glass shower, and double sinks.
Three more bedrooms are arranged down a private hallway.
Fittingly, the condo includes a library, which could easily be used as an additional guest room instead.
The British writer, 69, has authored dozens of books since the late ’90s and most widely recognized for his thrillers, including the “Jack Reacher” series.
