RangeWater Real Estate promotes executive managing director of construction

Atlanta-based RangeWater Real Estate has promoted Director of Construction Alp Kirmizioglu to executive managing director of construction.

In his new role, Kirmizioglu will manage RangeWater Construction, the company’s recently established in-house construction firm, while also overseeing the RangeWater’s construction management, design management and quality control functions in support of all projects currently under development.

“We’re excited to promote Alp to our executive team,” RangeWater Chairman and CEO Steven Shores said in a press release. “His strong leadership, team-building skills and global perspective have been invaluable in shaping our construction group to date. This promotion ensures those same qualities are shared across our platform, advancing RangeWater’s collective strategic initiatives.”

Since RangeWater Construction was formed 18 months ago, Kirmizioglu has expanded it to 20 team members and led several projects, including the company’s new Doraville development, Camino, which will bring 303 apartments to market and is RangeWater’s 26th Atlanta development. The project is slated to open in summer 2025 with its final homes to be delivered that fall.

Kirmizioglu holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and construction management from Middle East Technical University in Turkey, a master’s degree in civil engineering/construction management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in finance and strategy from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
