Although he hasn’t made the Baseball Hall of Fame (yet!), former Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton has a Tennessee mansion that is a first-ballot winner in the category of waterfront mansions.

Helton, who played his entire 17-year career in Denver and narrowly missed being voted into the Hall of Fame in 2023, recently listed his huge Knoxville, TN, home for $5.5 million.

The more-than-9,600-square-foot, seven-bedroom residence sits on a 13.7-acres on Fort Loudoun Lake.

If you dig the fairy-tale vibe and waterfront locale, this megamansion might just be your version of a home run. Here’s a look at the interior details.

Cathedral ceilings and beautiful beams grace the entrance and living room of this custom, stone dwelling that sits right on the water. A dramatic, curved staircase is positioned front and center, along with a gigantic fireplace and a double bank of extra-large windows.

The kitchen is a chef’s dream, complete with plentiful counter space, an island that seats six, two cooktops, a walk-in pantry, and room for a large dining table. There’s also a family room with water views, right off the kitchen.

A spacious primary bedroom is pure luxury, with its balcony, vaulted ceilings, and fireplace. The bath that adjoins has a free-standing tub, two vanities, and a walk-in shower. The home even comes with a sauna for relaxing after a long day of outdoor fun.

Speaking of, this property boasts six patios for entertaining, a pool and pool house, and a guesthouse with its own kitchen and living room. There’s also a custom boathouse and a dock with room to grill and relax.

Helton, a Knoxville native, was drafted by the Rockies from the University of Tennessee in 1995, and he never looked back. He made his big league debut in 1997 and left an indelible mark on the franchise’s history, leading the team in games played, runs scored, home runs, and hits.

After 17 seasons, Helton hung up his glove in 2013. He’s now back with the Rockies as a special assistant to the general manager, a position he took in 2022.
