Well-traveled point guard Stephon Marbury is ready to bid a final farewell to his stately brick home in Purchase, NY. The asking price? $3,300,000.

A legend in New York City by the time he was in high school, Marbury spent five tumultous seasons with the New York Knicks in the mid-2000s.

This six-bedroom mansion was his home base during those tabloid-friendly years. Marbury bought the place in Westchester County back in 2004 for $3.2 million—only $100,000 less than what he’s seeking nearly 20 years later.

A curvy, horseshoe-shaped driveway, mature trees, and attractive plantings on the manicured lawn add to the property’s curb appeal. A pair of double columns flanks the front door, which opens to a large foyer with a sweeping, spiral staircase.

Wood floors, oversized windows, and two fireplaces give the great room an inviting elegance.

The eat-in kitchen features stainless appliances, a wine fridge, an island with a mini sink, and attractive cabinets, some of which are glass-fronted. The kitchen table is positioned beside a wall of windows overlooking the backyard.

With more than 7,300 square feet, a home office, play space, and media room, the comforts here are plentiful. Outside, there’s a patio, sprawling lawn, pool, and parking for six cars in two different garages.

Dubbed “Starbury” in his playground days, Marbury was a two-time NBA All-Star and played with five teams during his turbulent NBA career.

In 2010, he made the bold decision to join the Chinese Basketball Association. He wound up becoming an icon in China, with his own museum and statues in Beijing. Today, Marbury has a permit for permanent Chinese residence and is the head coach of the Bejing Royal Fighters.
