He’s no longer at Fox News, but he’s certainly not without a home.

You can’t scroll your feed or turn on the news right now without hearing about Tucker Carlson and his sudden departure from the news network. Of course, the conservative TV host’s career disruption looks like a setback. But all is not completely lost for Carlson—especially if you consider his real estate holdings.

So, in light of the week’s events, a small survey of his many homes up and down the country’s Eastern Seaboard seems to be in order. Here’s a look at the pundit’s former and current properties.

Current: Boca Grande, FL

It seems Carlson has a penchant for this little Sunshine State village on Gasparilla Island, as he owns not just one property there—but two. He first shelled out $2.9 million in January 2020 to live in Boca Grande, FL , buying this four-bedroom, 4.5-bath, 2,870-square-foot dwelling, Dirt reported.

The 1960s home sits privately, surrounded by lots of tropical foliage (date palms, willows). It features terrazzo floors and cypress-wood decor. There’s a fireplace and a renovated kitchen in the main house, as well as a separate one-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage near the courtyard pool.

Just a couple of years later, in August 2022, Carlson quietly picked up a second ’60s-era house right next door for $5.5 million, according to Dirt. It’s similar in size to the neighboring home, with three bedrooms and 3.5 baths, spread over about 2,800 square feet.

Current: Woodstock, ME

Carlson’s real estate mantra just might be “Palms in the winter, pines in the summer,” as his Florida properties are nicely balanced by a hot-weather retreat in the cool woods of western Maine.

The former news host has apparently spent decades summering in this tiny town in Oxford County, near Bryant Pond, and has owned a home there since September 2020.

Carlson even bought a separate building he had reportedly planned to convert into a studio, so he could broadcast his shows without leaving the state. The old garage, which reportedly cost him $30,000, is just down the road from his home in Woodstock.

Now, with his change in employment status, it’s unclear what will become of this space. But according to reports, the property is being kept up by a local groundskeeper for whenever Carlson decides to visit.

Former: Washington, DC

Carlson has owned two homes in the nation’s capital, but both have been offloaded over the years. His first sale, in September 2017 for $2,040,000, was a nearly 4,800-square-foot, seven-bedroom, 5.5-bath manse, built in 1941. But he made just a tiny profit on the house, since he purchased it for $2 million in 2011.

Carlson’s second DC sale, located just a mile away from his other DC property, came in July 2020. And it was also a wash, financially speaking.

He paid $3,895,000 for the much larger five-bedroom, seven-bath home, spread over 7,400 square feet, but sold it for a mere $3,950,000.

This mansion, below, looks almost exactly like his other one—with the same window configuration and a bright red door, flanked by similar columns and side lights.
