The owner of the Boston Bruins, Jeremy Jacobs, has listed his New York City residence for $11 million.

The billionaire and his wife, Margaret, purchased the palatial place in 2015 from Carl and Marsha Hewitt for $10.35 million, according to the Observer.

In addition to putting up the financing for the unit, the two had to pass muster with the ”notoriously snooty” co-op board, as the Observer put it. Notable residents of the building have reportedly included the actress Uma Thurman and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Now, the couple have decided to let their 10-room residence go.

The newly renovated, full-floor home opens to a private foyer that leads to a 26-foot-by-16-foot great room, with river views through five oversized windows. The layout includes three bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

Adjacent to the great room is a separate formal living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The main living area also incorporates a study/library. Beyond the study is a media room.

In addition, the large, eat-in kitchen has abundant counter space and a working island, three sinks, two dishwashers, two refrigerators, a wine cooler, and an eight-burner stove. The kitchen includes a cozy banquette for casual dining.

Just beyond the kitchen is a secondary en suite bedroom along with a laundry room. The primary bedroom suite includes two primary bathrooms, two dressing rooms, and a sitting room.

Other details include hardwood floors in the public rooms, carpet in the bedrooms, 9.5-foot ceilings, and recessed lighting.

As for the 1931 building, it is “distinguished by its old world charm,” the listing description notes. Designed by William L. Bottomley, the structure sits on a cul-de-sac and features 24/7 staff, as well as landscaped gardens.

The next owner also receives a storage unit. Residents can opt for membership to the River Club, a “full service sporting and social club.” The amenities include squash courts, tennis courts, two golf simulators, a fitness center, swimming pool, ballroom, guest rooms, and a dining room and bar overlooking the river.

Jacobs, who is 80, is chairman of the concessions company Delaware North, as well as the owner of the Boston Bruins Hockey team, which he bought in 1975. Under his ownership, the team won the Stanley Cup in 2011. He’s ranked No. 327 on the Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans in 2020.

Kyle Blackmon with Compass holds the listing.
