Charlize Theron recently revealed that she’s patient enough to make a real killing in real estate.

The actress just sold the Los Angeles casita she bought about 20 years ago for a mere $519,000. The home was listed last month for $1,995,000, according to Dirt.

It was sold in less than two weeks, public records show.

Theron could potentially pocket a profit of around $1.3 million, minus her expenses for a dazzling remodel.

Well-done remodel

The two-bedroom, 1.5-bath pad in the Beverly Grove area measures 1,539 square feet.

The charming home was originally built in 1925, and Theron kept some of the original details, including the tile stair risers, thick plaster arches, and a wood-burning fireplace.

Recent upgrades include an expanded, eat-in kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, beautifully refinished flooring throughout, and a lap pool in the backyard.

Located within walking distance of many of West Hollywood’s trendy shops and restaurants, the 6,255-square-foot lot is secured by gates and tall hedges, making it the ideal hideaway for someone who wants complete privacy, or who wants a sweet venue for creative space and meetings.

Theron’s many homes

This is not the first Spanish-style bungalow Theron has sold in the area.

In 2020, she listed her 2,000-square-foot casita on the same street for a little over $2.2 million. That property was built in 1925, and Theron paid $1.8 million for it in 2005, according to Mansion Global.

It’s likely that these homes were rental properties for Theron, as she owns at least two bigger, grander properties in the Los Angeles area.

One is a four-bedroom, five-bath, 5,005-square-foot home in the Hollywood Bowl area that she picked up in 1998 for $1,650,000.

Originally built in 1929 and doubtless remodeled several times, it currently has a value of around $5.5 million, according to comps in the area.

It’s listed under a trust.

Theron also owns another home under the trust. It’s also in the hills behind the Hollywood Bowl. This one measures 3,119 square feet and has four bedrooms and three baths. It was originally built in 1969. The current value is estimated to be close to $3.8 million.

Theron, 47, is one of the world’s highest-paid actresses, having won an Academy Award for her lead role in “Monster.” And she’s starred in other highly acclaimed films, including “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Bombshell,” “Atomic Blonde” and “The Cider House Rules.”
