And so it begins, real estate-wise, for Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen.

Amid swirling rumors that the power couple is lawyering up for an impending divorce comes this juicy scoop about their Davis Islands, FL, home: It’s on the market for the tidy sum of $12,499,999.

First, some background.

The home was custom-built by HomeWorks in 2019.

When the football world shook in 2020 with the news that Brady was leaving the New England Patriots to take a two-year, $50 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he and Bündchen first decamped to a Davis Islands mansion owned by his pal, baseball great Derek Jeter.

But when renting there didn’t offer the level of privacy Brady craved, some news outlets erroneously reported he’d purchased a property in nearby Clearwater. Indeed, this decision was a head-scratcher since the commute to the stadium in Tampa wouldn’t have been easy.

Instead, after a brief stay in the cutely named “St. Jetersburg” manse, Brady and company set up shop in this sumptuous six-bedroom, six-bath, 6,551-square-foot mansion.

While it’s not entirely clear whether he was renting here or he bought it outright, Brady and Bündchen’s Instagram accounts show lots of videos of their family at the mansion that’s now on the open market.

An open-plan kitchen and living room offer loads of light.

There’s a 13-foot ceiling in the primary suite.

Along with a massive primary suite that includes an adjoining home office, the house features five more en suite bedrooms, a wine cellar, elevator, and rooftop terrace. The kitchen details are top-notch as well, with a Sub-Zero fridge, Wolf appliances, and marble counters.

But it’s the breathtaking water views and outdoor living spaces that truly make this home a standout.

A huge deck with dining and lounge areas overlooks a custom pool and spa, along with a private dock. Situated just outside downtown Tampa, Davis Islands is a very tony enclave.

And as the most exclusive place to live in Tampa, Davis Islands made perfect sense for the Brady-Bündchen clan to have a home. And it also offered familiarity, since it’s just around the corner from the Jeter compound they first stayed in.
