Jed Hoyer, president of baseball operations for the Chicago Cubs, wants to trade his Chicago home to a new owner for $3,650,000.

Hoyer picked up the custom-built home in the Ravenswood neighborhood in 2019 for $3,087,500. This purchase came after Hoyer sold his five-bedroom home in the Lincoln Park neighborhood for $2,440,000 in 2019.

Hoyer likely isn’t straying far since he signed a five-year contract with the Cubs in 2020. His six-bedroom, 7,500-square-foot residence in Ravenswood looks to be an MVP in our books.

Highlights of the open floor plan include oversized windows, intricate moldings, and built-ins.

A massive kitchen with commercial-grade appliances looks out onto a great room and dining area.

The bedrooms are upstairs, including the newly redesigned primary suite with a custom bath and walk-in closet. The upper level also includes a family room with a vaulted ceiling.

The lower level includes a guest room, recreation room, home theater, and golf simulator.

The home comes with two garages (one of them is detached) and a screened-in porch. The “suburban-sized” backyard is equipped with with a sport court.

The home sits on a relatively “huge” lot for the city, the listing notes. It measures 50 by 161 feet.

Hoyer, 48, served as general manager of the Cubs from 2011 to 2020. During his tenure, the Cubs memorably won the 2016 World Series, their first in 108 years.

In 2020, Hoyer was promoted to president of baseball operations. Prior to joining the Cubs, he had roles as general manager of the San Diego Padres and assistant general manager of the Boston Red Sox.

Jeff Lowe with Compass holds the listing.
