The sportscaster Ryen Russillo has scored a sweet townhouse in Manhattan Beach, CA. Records show that the popular podcaster paid $3.8 million in May for the coastal abode with ocean views.

The brand-new home debuted on the market in January for $4.5 million. The price was dropped the following month to $4.35 million and was further discounted to $4.1 million in March.

A listing description on the home notes a “major price improvement.” After snagging an even larger discount, Russillo showed his handle on the real estate game.

The four-bedroom, 3.5-bath unit is the “quintessential beach home,” the listing notes.

Highlights that clinched the deal were the “location to the beach and the North Manhattan restaurants and shops, design and quality of construction, [and] big ocean views,” according to Giovanni Altamura with S C Real Estate, who held the listing.

At 2,570 square feet, the property’s layout features a great room with a large living area and a fireplace, which opens out to an ocean-facing deck. Along with a dining area, an open, spacious kitchen includes custom cabinetry, Thermador appliances, and an island with seating.

The family room includes a large fireplace with shiplap and sliding doors that open to an ocean-facing view deck.

One floor down, you’ll find the master suite, which comes with a deck, as well as a spacious walk-in closet and bath with dual vanities. The same floor also includes a guest suite.

Other perks include a three-stop elevator, on-site parking with space for up to five cars, a laundry room, and an office. Smart home features can be controlled from your phone. In addition, the property is wired for security cameras, Nest Thermostat, and automatic shades for the family room sliding doors and the master bedroom.

The listing also notes the “great exterior elevation and curb appeal.” The home is located on a highly desirable street that is close to the beach, shops, and restaurants.

And since so many of us are working from home, it’s worth noting that Russillo’s new digs also double as a recording studio.

Russillo, who hosts his namesake pod on The Ringer podcast network, can be seen on YouTube talking with fellow Manhattan Beach denizen Colin Cowherd from his new kitchen.

The sports pundit hosted a popular radio show on ESPN for years. From 2009 to 2015, he co-hosted the ESPN show “SVP & Russillo” with Scott Van Pelt. In 2019, he left ESPN for The Ringer.
