Rumors recently swirled on social media that U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had picked up a swanky estate in Jupiter, FL.

But the Bay Area-based Democrat has not traded in her haute San Francisco mansion for a posh property in South Florida, Realtor.com® can confirm.

“This is completely false,” said Drew Hammill, deputy chief of staff for the speaker. “There’s no such pending sale, nor is the family looking or interested.”

The $25 million mansion in question is pending sale, which means the property has found a buyer. It’s just not Pelosi.

“I have no idea where the rumor started in regards to Nancy Pelosi,” says the listing agent, Beth Bourque with Southern Shore Properties, who has been swamped with calls for the last week asking about the supposed Pelosi purchase.

“I keep saying I can’t disclose who the buyer is, but it’s not Pelosi,” she says.

The new owners are just as displeased by the unwelcome fuss about their newly purchased home.

“They definitely don’t want the rumors out there,” Bourque says. “They don’t want that sort of attention.”

Oceanfront abode

The home has certainly piqued our interest. Let’s take a peek inside.

Built in 1995, the property has been “meticulously maintained,” notes Bourque.

Set on 2.5 acres, the residence offers a massive 255 feet of ocean frontage. Recently renovated, the two-story structure spans 10,000 square feet, with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

“It’s definitely a very special area and special piece of land,” Bourque says.

Jupiter’s orbit

The exclusive enclave has its upsides for those who want to live out of view of the public.

“The Jupiter area itself, we’ve seen a lot of high-profile people move to the area,” Bourque says. “Jupiter Island is private, it’s isolated. It tends to be where people want to go for privacy.”

While its charms may have been lost on the Democratic leader, the area has been a hot spot for Trump family members.

Donald Trump Jr. and his partner, the TV personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, recently purchased a $10 million property. Trump Jr.’s ex-wife, Vanessa, and their five children also reportedly live in the upscale area.

Eric Trump also picked up a home in Jupiter, with his wife, Lara Trump.

If you’re interested in becoming their neighbors, prepare to pony up. With only 11 homes on the market, the median list price is a whopping $15 million.
