Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys has listed his rockin’ Florida condo. The singer-songwriter’s oceanfront home in Cape Canaveral, FL, is available for $1,595,000.

Known as Howie D., the performer purchased the place brand-new in 2000 for $410,000.

With 2,819 square feet of living space, the contemporary condo features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, ocean views, and plenty of deck space overlooking the beach. The deck is a perfect place to host gatherings with your favorite boy band—or simply to enjoy a cocktail solo.

Located on the fifth floor, the penthouse with wraparound balconies was showcased on Season 2 of “MTV Cribs” in 2001, when the interior design was first completed.

In the segment, Howie helpfully points out all the perks of the apartment, such as a built-in stereo with surround sound, a showcase of his many awards in the billiard-room, and a large soaking tub in the master suite.

And in a bonus for the buyer, all the custom amenities, from the furnishings to the large aquarium to the sound system, come with the place.

The home was decorated by his brother, an interior designer, the decor includes massive fish tanks and two-way glass fireplaces. Curved wood built-ins in the living area contain media equipment. The living area spills out to a large deck, allowing for additional outdoor living space.

The layout also includes a formal dining room with built-ins, a family area with a sectional sofa, and an open kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and center island. The billiard-room features wood floors and built-in shelving, and plenty of music memorabilia.

A master suite offers a sitting area with a dual-sided fireplace, a balcony with ocean views, and an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and tub, as well as dual vanities.

The high-floor apartment takes full advantage of the beach views, and the large balcony is perfect for spending time outside. A path leads directly to the beach. Three garage spaces also come with the property.

The longtime member of the platinum-selling pop group continues to perform with the band. When not with the Boys, the Orlando native has broken into the real estate business. He and his brother John operate Dorough Brothers Development and Consulting, and are developing a $35 million condo complex in nearby Cocoa Beach.

Dorough, 47, co-founded the chart-topping boy band in 1993. No longer boys, the popular group has sold over 135 million records and broken innumerable hearts worldwide. And they’re still going. Their latest album, “DNA,” came out in 2019. The band recently announced on Instagram that its next world tour is now scheduled for 2022.

Alyssa Boyd with Sand Dollar Realty of Brevard holds the listing.
