On the heels of her acquisition of a major mansion in Montecito, CA, the pop star Katy Perry has finally sold one of two Beverly Hills homes, Dirt reported.

The 4,410-square-foot abode sold for $7,475,000. That’s just a smidge over the price of $7.45 million that Perry paid three years ago.

The “Roar” singer purchased the nearby property in 2018. Located minutes from her residence, the sweet space is also in the guard-gated celebrity enclave of Hidden Valley.

At the time of the purchase, it seemed that the performer wanted the extra space for extra visitors. Perhaps, in hindsight, that seemed like an unnecessary gesture, given that her adjacent Beverly Hills home is already a spacious 5,400 square feet.

In 2020, Perry put the updated traditional on the market for almost $8 million, perhaps angling for a quick profit from the investment.

Alas, no buyers came through at that price. It was subsequently dropped to $7.85 million in January 2021, and dipped a bit more, to $7.7 million, in March. The March adjustment appeared to be in the right neighborhood, and in early May, the deal closed at the slightly lower amount.

Built in 1960, the “immaculately updated” estate offers four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

The entry flows to a spacious living room with a fireplace, and French doors that lead outside. A formal dining room overlooks the grounds and opens to a terrace, perfect for entertaining. The chef’s kitchen boasts a center island, breakfast area, and a fireplace.

In addition, the layout includes a separate media and family room with a built-in bar, and two en suite bedrooms on the main floor. Upstairs, a master suite encompasses an entire wing, with a veranda, two walk-in closets, a sitting area, and a sunny bathroom with a soaking tub. The opposite wing consists of an en suite bedroom, office, and gym.

Set on roughly 1 acre, the grounds offer a lush lawn, pool, lounge areas, and attractive landscaping.

With her recent move, Perry now has one house less to worry about. The “California Gurl” and the actor Orlando Bloom, who have a daughter together, recently purchased a glorious $14.2 million ocean-view estate in the seaside town of Montecito.

In addition to recording real estate deals, the chart-topper also serves as a judge for “American Idol.” She recently dropped a new song, “Electric,” for the Pokémon 25th anniversary soundtrack, and announced that she will be performing in Las Vegas starting on Dec. 29.

Brett Lawyer with Hilton & Hyland represented the seller. Joshua Flagg with Rodeo Realty repped the buyer.
