The star of “Arrested Development,” Will Arnett, has developed a new plan to sell his Beverly Hills home. The actor has brought his modern architectural back on the market with a price cut to $8 million, the Los Angeles Times reported. Last year, he offered up the prefab home, built in 2017, for almost $11 million.

The design-savvy star splashed out $2.86 million for the property in 2015, with the prefab-style home going up two years later. Custom-built for the actor, it has a set of six modules that make up the compound.

The prefab builder Living Homes completely reimagined its RK2 model, a design conceived by Ray Kappe, the architect and co-founder of Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), the listing notes. Kappe died in 2019 at the age of 92.

A smart home, the residence includes custom touches, like a glass staircase and guest wing. The modern, glass-and-steel-frame marvel, featured in Dwell magazine, also won an Architectural Award from the L.A. Business Council in 2018, the L.A. Times notes.

Described in Dwell as a  “prefab-hybrid” abode, the 4,000-square-foot, gated and private residence spans two stories, multiple patios, and plentiful outdoor space. The layout has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

As for the stylish interiors, enter into a foyer with the glass staircase, which leads to a double-height living area with floor-to-ceiling windows. The open kitchen, which has built-in seating, adjoins the dining area.

An office converts to a guest room with a pull-down Murphy bed. The master suite sits on the top floor and opens out to a private deck. Other features include a den, a gym, and an office.

Set on three-quarters of an acre in Beverly Hills Post Office, the lavish outdoor space features an infinity-edge pool, cold plunge, sauna, and outdoor fireplace, which create a serene, secluded retreat. The grounds look out to canyon views and greenery. The gated property includes a driveway and two-car garage.

Arnett is probably best known for his role as Gob Bluth on the series “Arrested Development.” He has also had appearances on such sitcoms as “30 Rock” and “Parks and Recreation.”

His signature baritone can be heard as the main character in the animated show “BoJack Horseman” and Batman in the “Lego” movies and he is the host of the Fox Network show “LEGO Masters.”

He also co-hosts a highly entertaining podcast, “SmartLess,” with his fellow actors Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes.

Richard Ehrlich with Westside Estate Agency holds the listing.
