Kirstjen Nielsen, who served in the Trump administration as secretary of homeland security, has found a buyer for her Alexandria, VA, townhome. The upscale abode in the city’s Old Town neighborhood came on the market earlier this year for $1.02 million.

The former secretary, who resigned from President Donald Trump‘s Cabinet in 2019, paid $887,900 in 2014 for the three-level residence. The home appealed to a buyer. After just over a month on the market, the listing is currently in “contingent” status.

Purchased brand-new, the unit “still shines like new build,” according to the listing. With three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and 1,922 square feet, the Colonial-style home features a traditional floor plan.

After her appointment at Homeland Security, she implemented the Trump administration’s controversial family separation policy for those seeking to immigrate at the U.S.-Mexican border. After coming in for fierce criticism from the president on the issue of border protection, she resigned in April 2019.

In her newest venture, she advises technology companies on new and emerging security threats.
