The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald scored a quick sale of his massive mansion in the desert, AZ Central reports. The future Hall of Famer pulled in $18 million for his Paradise Valley, AZ, estate.

The sale of the pricey property is the third most expensive home ever to sell in Arizona, according to the Phoenix Business Journal. Which isn’t a shock, given that the mansion is located in the state’s most expensive ZIP code.

Details of his deluxe gated digs are scant, with little visual evidence of what Fitz has left behind. The sprawling spread features four bedrooms and seven bathrooms, on 13,929 square feet of living space.

Set on 3 acres, with views of Camelback Mountain, the grounds include a manicured lawn, basketball court, pool, and a separate guesthouse. A satellite view shows a long, winding driveway that ends in a large motor court at the front door.

Fitzgerald, 37, bought the property in 2015 for a little over $3 million, through a Minnesota limited liability company, records show.

In 2014, the property was on the market as a development opportunity and offered for $3.3 million. At the time, it was described as “the perfect backdrop to build your dream.”

After the mansion came on the market in early November, it sold in a single day.

The sale has fueled speculation that the Cardinals’ legend may move on to another team or even retire. Alternatively, perhaps he is simply ready for a new nest in the area.

The identity of the buyer also remains a mystery. The transaction is associated with an accounting firm in the San Francisco area with ties to various celebrities and prominent people.

Fitzgerald played college football at the University of Pittsburgh, and earned All-America honors. In 2004, he was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals as the third overall pick. He has played all 17 NFL seasons with the Cardinals. Last year, he bought a minority stake in the NBA Phoenix Suns.

Both Fitzgerald and the buyer were represented by Joan Levinson with Realty One Group.
