Westside Quarry developer abruptly ended affordable housing talks

A developer in February abruptly ended talks with the city of Atlanta about financial subsidies for affordable housing at a mixed-use development planned near the Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry, according to emails reviewed by the AJC. The developer later sold the Quarry Yards property to Microsoft, according to people familiar with the deal.
