Atlanta home sales slide in October as prices rise

Atlanta’s housing inventory totaled 8,822 units in October, a year-over-year decrease of 28.3%, while new listings slid 2.2% from September and 9% from October 2020 to 7,851, Atlanta REALTORS Association reported.

Make that change

In lieu of returning to the comfort zone of doing things the way we’ve always done them, I challenge all real estate associations, brokerage offices and leaders to take a close look at how new agents are engaged, leaders are selected, directors and committee chairs are appointed and possibly how unconscious bias is perpetuated, as the old guard chooses the new guard.

Atlanta’s housing inventory fell to 7,571 homes for sale from 14,962 a year ago, according to the Atlanta Realtors Association.
